Ironically many of Western Command's vehicles tend to be in better
condition than those in the Canadian Forces. We can actually get spare
parts, we keep them painted, and we have many more armoured vehicles in
BC (about over 10) than the CF do (1).

Membership costs $25 Canadian a year and is open to people interested in
preserving historic military vehicles. The membership year is January 01 to December 31.
Members in good standing residing in BC may run for office and vote.
Membership benefits includes the society's newsletter "MAPLE LEAF
UP!"
(Note: Our newsletter predates the recent web site of the same
name but has no connection with it other than a common appreciation of Canadian
military history).
You do NOT need to own an historic military vehicle (HMV) to belong.
You do NOT need to belong to the Military Vehicle Preservation Association
(MVPA) although it is highly recommended.
We are a civilian vintage vehicle collector's society that happens to collect
ex-military vehicles. We are NON-POLITICAL, and are NOT the military. We
are also NOT a gun club, and we are NOT re-enactors. We are collectors of
vintage vehicle collectors who happen to enjoy preserving and using historic
military vehicles. Some of our members do enjoy some of these other
hobbies.
